Passionate social-impact architect empowering youth toward sustainable entrepreneurship.

About Me

I am a Social Impact Architect dedicated to empowering youth—especially those transitioning off social grants—by linking them to sustainable economic opportunities and poverty‑alleviation strategies. As an experienced trainer and community‑development facilitator, I’ve designed and delivered accredited programmes that equip young people with the skills, confidence, and networks they need to launch viable ventures.

My work spans collaboration with leading government bodies, NGOs, and research institutions—from the Department of Higher Education to UNICEF, USAID, and academic partners. These partnerships ensure that every initiative is grounded in real‑world policy insights and best‑practice research.

At the heart of my practice is rigorous independent research into how Child Support Grant beneficiaries orient toward entrepreneurship. I’ve investigated their transition from grant dependency to economic activity, generating data‑driven recommendations that inform both programme design and public policy.

As part of a team, my flagship projects—each with budgets around R5 million—across Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Western Cape, and KwaZulu‑Natal. In these roles, I worked hand‑in‑hand with service providers to pilot innovative savings schemes and link beneficiary households to income‑generating opportunities. Throughout, I reported regularly to steering committees composed of senior leaders and departmental directors, ensuring strategic alignment and accountability.

Early in my career, I served in the Department of Social Development Mikondzo Ministerial Project—undertaking grassroot research to profile critical citizen services—and I founded “Purpose Before Privilege,” a volunteer‑led mentorship initiative that inspires matriculants in under‑resourced communities to complete their education and pursue their dreams.

Whether it’s crafting hands‑on workshops, authoring strategic blueprints, or convening cross‑sector stakeholder forums, I bring a blend of passion, precision, and partnership to every engagement—building the foundations tomorrow’s founders will stand on.

At SAYGEF, I lead an accredited youth‑entrepreneurship programme for Child Support Grant recipients, securing NQF Levels 2 & 4 accreditation and managing budgeting and grants. Through partnerships with donors and corporates, I implement M&E frameworks and deliver interactive workshops, one‑on‑one coaching, and digital facilitation—equipping participants with business planning, marketing, and AI skills to launch and sustain viable startups.
